Is Doyle Chambers Postcard System a business opportunity dream-come-true or a golly-gee-whiz country bumpkin scam? To tell you the truth, when one of my marketing partners sent me Doyle’s link I rolled my eyes at this folksy, East Texas every-day man with a homemade looking website.
But, I admit, his compelling ad-copy kept me reading. Here was an offline marketing system – mailing postcards – so elegantly simple that a one fingered typist who has a Jitterbug phone could operate. Gasp! “Could this old school method work,” I wondered?
Doyle explains that 18 years ago he built an organization by mailing postcards to interested prospects. His result was a lifetime of residual income that allows him to live peacefully and profitably on his ranch.
The number one problem in the biz-op community solved?
I’ve personally sold thousands of dollars worth of products using online marketing methods. The majority of my success has been with network marketing companies. However, the problem I always came up against was duplication.
Let’s face it, 95% of the people you recruit will not learn how to drive traffic by creating blogs, writing articles, producing videos, posting forums, or using Google adwords to generate leads - it’s just to much work and technically challenging. Nor will they call the leads back out of fear of admitting that they are a newbie marketer. So they become an opportunity junkie hoping from program to program.
I think Doyle’s postcard marketing is about to throw a huge wrench in the enslavement of network marketers supporting the 3%. Doyle is at the front of the pack leading with a revolutionary concept based on a very old marketing style (albeit updated to use the Internet). Doyle explains:
“Remember, this is completely automated so your only job is to mail my postcards and I’ll do the rest! Your prospects will call my phone number if they have any questions. So you see…there is no need for you to even speak with anyone EVER if you don’t want to. I’ll do all of the follow up and lead your prospects to join under you. I’m offering you a nearly hands off business.”
After reviewing his entire set-up, I realized the simple beauty of his system. It solves the two main reasons why people tend to fail in business opportunities (no leads and fear of talking).
He even addresses the last reason people fail: not having a clear plan. This is where his “mail 30 postcards” a day comes into play. Lat week I spoke with Doyle over the phone and discussed postcard marketing. He explained the necessity to habitually mail out postcards and not be tied to an instant result. Amazingly, he explained that prospects will hold on to postcards for sometimes 6 – 12 months and then call. The postcards don’t get thrown away. He explained that if you give up on month one, you will miss out on the avalanche of cash coming your way. It’s a business, and needs to be treated with respect.!
Doyle Chambers created a nice postcard marketing system. The only downside I see is the expensive cost of mailing postcards. Stamps to mail postcards currently cost.32 cents. With card-stock and a list, it’s upwards of .45 cents. His system involves sending 30 postcards a day. Therefore, your total per month for advertising would be around $324 (all tax deductible).
The company that Doyle affiliates with (and one in which I’m a member) is Alivamax. To make $2,437 per month you need at least 27 people in your organization. But, really, it’s about finding three other people that will keep marketing postcards until they find at least three.
